MRL Equipment Company Leadership Changes
Steve Johnson will join MRL as General Manager on October 9th. Steve possesses over 25 years of industry experience, most recently serving as GM Assemblies Americas for Gates Corporation. Prior to Gates Steve was Director of Operations for ITW’s Shakeproof Automotive business, with multi-site responsibility within the NA Metal Fasteners division. Additional experience includes operations roles of progressive responsibility with companies including BWAY, Navistar, Dover, and Harley Davidson, with Steve advancing from single site responsibilities to business unit and division management assignments leading multiple production facilities. Steve possesses a history of driving growth and performance improvement via a combination of lean/WCM principles and talent development, enabling teams to realize their full potential and creating a culture of operational excellence.
Steve received his MBA from the University of Michigan, Flint, a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology from Southern Illinois University and achieved the rank of Sergeant in the Air Force prior to entering the manufacturing industry.
Boyd Montgomery joined MRL as Director of National Sales on July 31st. Boyd has an impressive background with leadership roles in Sales, including eighteen years with The Toro Company in various business and sales management positions. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in business from the St. Mary’s University of Minnesota, and an MBA from Argosy University in Minneapolis.
